Taylor's Gift Foundation - Part 1, Where the $'s are Going

Taylor's Gift Foundation officially began on 4/28/10; that is the day that we received our Employee Identification Number (Form SS-4).

So many positive things have transpired with the foundation!  Our mission statement since the beginning:  Increasing organ donation thru youth education.

If you remember, I left my job at the Center for Sales Strategy after praying, realizing and discerning that this type of charity/foundation had a huge need to fulfill.  I was a Vice President at CSS and consulted media companies all over the country.  I was blessed to work with radio and TV stations, newspaper publications, large cable operations, Internet publishers and sales networks.

Very fulfilling work.  In fact, it was my life's work, until Taylor died.  Now, I my life's work is Taylor's Gift Foundation.

Here's a quick analysis of the money thru September:

Revenues (%'s of total)
54%:  Events (Volleyball Tournament/Auctions/etc)
41%:  Direct Support (direct donations from individuals/companies/etc)
5%:    Merchandise (bracelets/items/etc)

Expenses (%'s of total)
23%:  Events
22%:  Documentary
17%:  Merchandise purchases
12%:  Operations (includes insurance, marketing/advertising/postage/printing/supplies/telephone):
7%:    Technology/Website
7%:    Compensation (Todd Storch (sole employee; Executive Director/President):

When you look at our education efforts, approximately 69% of our total expenses can be directly related to this Mission (does not include operations and compensation expense).  Not a bad start from building a company from the ground up.

I appreciate everyone's support, prayers and volunteer help.

We are just beginning.
